Character Design Updated.

As you all know, my birds have migrated to Sarawak. I decided to change the type of bird too , to the famous bird of Sarawak which is the hornbill.

I did a lot of changes to achieve the best Sarawak bird design. Their outfit have a lot of design patterns and they love bright colours, especially red. 

This is the first time I'm designing something so cultural so I didin't know where to begin and how should I do this so that it is also aesthetically beautiful. I hope I've succeeded. :)

Here are the main characters !!!!

I even changed their names from Candy, Richie and Derp to Taro, Tari, Tobi and Tiga. More "bahasa melayu" in it.

Hello,

The previous bird design looks very international, very westernized, so I decided to change it to be more localized and be more about my own country. So I've picked Sarawak, Malaysia as the setting my birds will be. Their dressing will be very cultural like , blending into the Sarawak culture.

This is Derp the geek. I think I'll just make him look like a hunter but I'm leaving the specs to make him look for geeky. So he won't be on his jetspack but will be holding this shield thing lol.

And this will be Richie !

Birdie Character Design

Sorry for the late update !
I couldn't decide on my character design ! So I've finally design them and they all 3 have different characteristic and style.

This is Derp. He is the main character thats why he is in eye-catching RED. He's a geek and creates alot of cool inventions. He moves around with his newly invented jet-pack , just like how we have cars.

This smart looking birdie here is Richie. He is a business man and a filthy rich man. His suit is custom made from Italy and he got his haircut from a Hollywood hairstylist.

Lastly, this is Candy. She have an obsession with candies so thats how she got her name. She is dressed in a lollipop bikini and her hair-setting is made out of cotton candy !

I changed my mind and wanted to make it look simpler thats why I modified a lot from my own sketches. lol

Trying to work faster ! Next I need to illustrate the wolf and their bird houses so that I can start !

3 Little Birds storyboard

HI HII this is my storyboard for The 3 Little Birds :

Starting out with the 3 birds and their house. You have to drag and drop the birds to their specific house. If you drag wrongly the bird will bounce back to its original position and you have to choose again.

Then find the wolf from these 3 different bushes !

After you've found the wolf, he will start attacking each bird house. The first bird house is the rich bird's house. His name is Richie. Richie's house is made of gold and diamonds.

So you have to keep clicking on the tree to help the wolf shake Richie's bird house, so that it will fall.

Richie's birdhouse falls to the ground and hits the wolf's head, thats how Richie manage to escape from the wolf. There will not be any interaction here except maybe you can move the leaves that are falling.

Next will Candy's bird house. Her bird house will be made out of cotton candy which is derived from her name Candy. It is easy to destroy with just one blow from the wolf. You can move the wolf left to right within the screen.

The wolf manage to destroy Candy's bird house and her cotton candy fills up the whole screen. 

You have to wipe the cotton candy off, then you'll see Candy flying off and escaping the wolf.

The wolf didin't manage to catch any of them but he ruined all of their houses. So he decided to be more sleek with the last bird which is Derp. 

Derp is a computer geek bird and his house is the ugliest among all, but it is the safest. 

Below is his house. You can click on his gadgets to see what it does.

He looks through his CCTV to monitor the wolf's movements.
You can move the cctv glasses to see the surrounding.

Derp manage to target the wolf's position and starts to fire nuts and sticks towards the wolf.
Keep clicking the screen to shoot nuts and sticks.

The wolf is finally defeated !
So Richie and Candy moved next to Derp's house for better safety and they live happily together as happy neighbours.

Storybook Cast Updated !

So after consultation, i've decided to substitute my 3 little pigs to 3 little birds. lol..

It is about 3 Little Birds and a big bad wolf !

• The first bird is a female, she decorates her bird house with cotton candies and beautiful things. With just one blow from the wolf, her bird house falls, tho she manage to fly away before he could catch her.
• The second bird is a rich business birdie, he decorates his bird house with gold and diamonds. Because it was too heavy, just one shake from the wolf and it falls to the ground, but it manage to hit the wolf's head and that led to his successful escape. 
• The last bird is a computer geek. Even though his bird house is the ugliest, but it was among the safest. He had CCTVs hooked on outside his house so that he know what the wolf is doing. He even had an alarm to alarm him when the wolf is coming near his bird house. His house can even shoot nuts and sticks ! 

Below will be these character's outfits and bird house. Just an example through online pictures.

The geek bird will have glasses and dresses in hot sweaters.

His bird house will not be aesthetically beautiful but it will be well equipped with hi-tech gadgets.

I will make the house out of cotton candy !

and the rich bird lives in a mansion bird house made out of gold and diamonds.
